Inviting and Managing Team Members with User Roles on Ribbon

Ribbon allows program admins to efficiently invite and manage teammates, granting them specific user roles that determine their level of access to program features.

Inviting Teammates:

Step 1: Access Your User Profile

To invite new team members, begin by clicking on the profile icon located at the top right of your screen. This icon resembles a person.

Step 2: Navigate to Account Settings 

In the dropdown menu that appears upon clicking the profile icon, select "Account Settings." This option will direct you to your account settings dashboard.

Step 3: Access the Team Tab

Within the account settings page, you'll find a tab labeled "Team." Click on the "Team" tab to access the Team Dashboard, which is where you can manage your team members.

Step 4: Invite a Teammate 

On the Team Dashboard, you'll notice an "Invite a Teammate" button. Click on this button to initiate the process of inviting a new teammate.

Step 5: Enter Team Member Details

 A side window will appear, prompting you to enter the team member's name and email address. Ensure that you provide accurate and complete information.

Step 6: Assign a User Role

Select the appropriate user role for the team member. Ribbon offers four user roles:

  • Admin: Admins have full access to the program and its features, with the ability to manage all aspects of the program.
  • Finance: Finance team members have banking access and management including card management and financial reporting. No access to campaign, team, or other account settings.
  • Marketing: Marketing team members can focus on Giving form and campaign management, as well as access to brand settings. No access to banking, donors, team, or other account settings.

Step 7: Send the Invitation

After entering the team member's information and assigning a role, click the "Send Invite" button. This action will send an invitation to the team member, granting them access to the program based on their assigned role.


Managing Teammates:

To Update a Team Member's Role:

On the Team Dashboard, you can select an existing team member to update their role.


Note: Please be aware that you cannot update a teammate's name or email. Ensure that the information entered during the invitation process is accurate.
